It has been a while since I have written here. Some of what I write was published on Shootfromthelefthip.com but in reality, work has taken over much of my time. I don't get much time to go out and shoot - that is starting to change - and I spend too much time in front of the computer. On the other hand, the work is very good, meaningful and has purpose. All in all not a bad trade off. Expect more photos  as we now have a second photog living in the house and it is getting me out shooting again. More later, just a quick update.

On Life... 2012 has been an interesting year...but I am glad to see it drift into the history books.  The level of civil discourse was at an all time low as the sides squared off for the 2012 Presidential election.  The sheer hatred and vicious behavior on the national level, brought into focus by an ever polarized media and growing blogsphere has made our act of democracy much harder to live with.  $6Billion in spending for the election cycle tells us something has to change. Interwoven around the political election circus has been the constant staccato drumbeat of violence that spiked nearly monthly with a mass shooting.  Our restaurants,

On Life... Fall is back.  From the looks of my photo gallery that is my favorite time of the year.  At least that is when I am most motivated to go out and enjoy nature and take the cameras with me in case something interesting comes along. I am in a better mood than I was in the last journal…we have not had a drive by of mass murders in over a month.  The multiple instances of senseless slaughter in July and August were too many…that tears at the fabric.  The ONLY good thing to come from all that is that we, as a society were still greatly offended…still pissed that people can and do a
